Daniel Plunkett has been named principal of Kauai Christian Academy.
“We are very excited to continue the legacy of Christian education on Kauai since 1973 from the leadership of Principal Daniel Moore to the new leadership of Daniel Plunkett,” according to a press release.
Moore is leaving to pursue a ministry career in Iowa.
Plunkett has been teaching at Kauai Christian Academy since 2006.
He graduated from International Christian Academy in Cote d’Ivoire, West Africa and is the son of a missionary family.
He received his bachelor’s degree from Welch College, where he also taught, and earned his master’s in English literature from Austin Peay State University in Tennessee.
Plunkett, who has served as a deacon at Anahola Baptist Church since 2010, lives in Kilauea with his wife and two children.
