Motorcyclist medevaced to Queen’s after traffic crash

KOLOA — A motorcyclist was medevaced to Queen’s Medical Center Friday evening after sustaining serious injuries in a traffic crash in Koloa. The 37-year-old Koloa man was heading north on Maluhia Road near Anne Knudsen Park at approximately 4:54 p.m.

KOLOA — A motorcyclist was medevaced to Queen’s Medical Center Friday evening after sustaining serious injuries in a traffic crash in Koloa.

The 37-year-old Koloa man was heading north on Maluhia Road near Anne Knudsen Park at approximately 4:54 p.m. when he crashed into a southbound pick-up truck that was turning left onto Emi Road.

The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet.

The driver of the pick-up truck was not injured.

Maluhia Road was closed for approximately three hours following the crash. Traffic was diverted to Ala Kinoiki and Koloa roads.
