LIHUE — The National Tropical Botanical Garden and Women Artists of Kauai invite you to the 5th annual Summer Fine Art Festival.
“Come relax in a beautiful, tropical garden and treat yourself to a fun art festival where you can meet and talk story with some of Kauai’s most prolific women artists,” states a press release.
The festival runs from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at NTBG’s South Shore Visitors Center in Poipu.
Local artists Patrice Pendarvis, Donia Lilly, Helen Turner, Anna Skaradzinska, Rhonda Forsberg, Leslie Hagen, Keani Andrade, Lannie Boesiger and Marionette Taboniar will discuss their creative process and provide demonstrations. Art will be available for purchase in a variety of styles and mediums, with a portion of the proceeds supporting NTBG.
Matthew Miller will soothe the crowd with his guitar tunes beginning at 10 a.m., followed by Kauai’s own “Slack Key Lady” Cindy Combs starting at noon.
Paradise Grinds serve up plate lunches, snacks, refreshments and shave ice.
NTBG’s South Shore Visitors Center is across the Spouting Horn, at 4425 Lawai Road.
