LIHUE – The annual Kamehameha Day Parade is scheduled for this Saturday at 9 a.m.
To accommodate the event, the Kaua’i Police Department will close off all streets along the parade route at 8:30 a.m.
Road closures will include: Ho‘olako Street, from the south stadium entrance to Rice Street; Rice Street, from Ho‘olako Street to Haleko Road; and ‘Eiwa and ‘Umi streets, between Hardy and Rice streets.
Officers will be manning the closures and will keep the roads closed until the parade is over.
Motorists should allow additional time to get to their destinations as traffic delays are expected.
