Not only do you get the aroma of Hamura Saimin dashi when you visit KQNG Radio early in the morning, the Geico Gecko had the new KQNG Prize Goddess Karen Palting on hand when he presented Ellen Ching a check from the May rate quote campaign.
Ellen will be up early Sunday morning when Jason Fujinaka of FM97 does emcee duty at the annual Easter Seals Golf Tournament at the Kauai Lagoons Golf Club. The question is whether Kenneth Kimura (he was playing co-ed soccer Tuesday) will be there.
Scott Ashworth was in the Kaanapali Pro-Pro golf tournament where TJ Kua teamed with Shawn McCauley to take the tournament following a 4-Hole playoff. Mahalo to Melissa Ludwig for that juicy tidbit. Last year, Scott was at the tournament, too.
Jimmy Okada said there will be bon dance at the West Kauai Hongwanji, Waimea Temple this weekend. Chris Faye and Roy Miyake will be out there today to do the Issei identification project, so check out the photos.
Dickie Chang has to do the Kauai Museum paina, and then it’s off to Meet the Coach with Liz Hahn and Mark Oyama at the Kauai Community College Fine Dining facility.
