LIHUE — The Garden Island’s office will be closed Tuesday in observance of King Kamehameha Day. The office will reopen 10 a.m. Wednesday.
In addition, the county of Kauai offices will be closed Tuesday, along with all refuse transfer stations, the Kekaha Landfill, Kauai Resource Center and the Kapaa and Waimea swimming pools.
The Kauai Bus will operate on a modified schedule.
Residential refuse pick-up will not be affected by the holiday.
Puhi Metals Recycling Center will be open, along with the HI-5 bottle redemption centers that are normally open on Tuesdays, except for the Kauai Resource Center.
Regular business hours for county offices and services will resume Wednesday.
