A free keiki surf contest will be hosted by Deja Vu Surf Hawaii and O’Neill on Saturday at Kalapaki Beach.
Starting at 8 a.m., the mission of the contest is to give new surfers and body boarders exposure to contest format surfing.
It is open to the first 80 competitors to submit an entry form in any of the four surfing divisions, which include Menehune ages 11 and under, boys ages 12 and 13, boys ages 14 and 15, and girls ages 12 through 15 years old.
There will be two body boarding division including ages 12 and under and ages 13 through 15 years old.
A free lunch and prizes will be provided.
Competitors must enter in their own age divisions. The contest is not open to the top six rated surfers in any of the Hawaii Surfing Federation, or National Scholastic Surfing Federation divisions.
Application forms are available at www.dejavusurf.com, or at the Deja Vu Surf Hawaii store at the Kukui Grove Center, Deja Vu Surf Outlet in Kapaa, across from the Kapaa Beach Park, and Quiksilver at The Shops at Kukuiula in Poipu.
