Congratulations to Jackie Taylor, who has been doing a lot more than just graduating from Waimea High School!
Major Victor Aguilar said Jackie just gave up her Miss Hawaii Teen title, which had her flying to Oahu once a month while she balanced school and her Miss Kauai Veteran title and everything else.
Congratulations to Barry DeBlake and all the fine law enforcement people on the charter of the Kauai chapter of the Iron Circle. The group made one of its first chapter rides to the Memorial Day service Monday.
Chris Takenaka was on his own motorcycle, and even Roy Asher came tooling in with the Harley Owners Group.
Speaking of KPD officer Barry, he got to meet Darin Moriki in school.
Darin wants to extend his mahalo to a couple who found his camera on a shopping cart while on assignment and turned it in to the Waipouli Long’s Drugstore.
Great job to KPD officer Norberto Garcia (he’s the commandant for the Kauai Veterans Council and the USMC League), and all his staff (especially Aida Cruz!) on a great service!
