Bibiana Aribon
Bibiana Manalang Aribon of Hanamaulu passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on May 8, 2013, at the age of 86. She was born in Balaoan, La Union, Philippines on November 25, 1926, and operated her own care home.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lucas Aribon; sisters and brothers, Sebastiana; Simeon; Ignacio; Paula; Agapito; Victoria Ana; Luis; and niece, Julita Calima.
She is survived by her two sons, Edwin (Sherilyn) Aribon of Oahu; Rogelio (Tanya) Aribon of Hanamaulu; two grandchildren, Lucas Aribon of Oahu; Travis Aribon of Hanamaulu; nieces and nephews, Feniano and Carmen Negrillo; Maxima and Gary Gaines; Cipriano and Shirley Negrillo; Teresa and Percival Bailey; Patricia Negrillo; Maria and Mirando Zabala; Ramon and Glean Negrillo; Vicky and Cecilio Redaus; Mel and Noli Quiban; and extended family.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2013, at Immaculate Conception church with viewing from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

James Lambert Kaui, Sr.
James “Jimmy” Lambert Kaui, Sr., 67, of Kapaa, Kauai, passed away at Home on May 12, 2013. Born on September 13, 1945 in Honolulu HI, he was a retired heavy equipment operator with Operating Engrs, Richard Lee Trucking.
Preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Augustina Kaui; and brother, Rufus “Boar” L. Kaui, Jr.;
He is survived by his wife, Lydia “Ahuna” Kaui; sons, James (Jolene) L. Kaui of Waimanalo, and Creighton (Tamara) K. Kaui of Lihue; sisters, Linda (Albert) Genegabuas and Elaine Kaui; four grandchildren, Ryan, Cheyenne, Kaikea, and Kaili; also surviving is an uncle and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel in Lawai. Friends may visit with the family from 9 am to 11 am. Service starts at 11am. Burial to follow at Kauai Veteran’s Cemetery. Aloha Attire preferred.

Blanche “Bebe” Benson
Bebe Benson of the North Shore of Oahu, passed away at Pupukea on May 8, 2013, at the age of 83. She was born July 29, 1929 in Cuero, Texas. She is a retired school teacher from the Department of Education where she taught for 30 years.
Bebe is preceded in death by her son, Guy, and her loving husband, Col. Albert Benson.
She is survived by four children: Blanche (Robin) Yoshida, Betsy (Phil) Soon, Becky (Dave) Jay, and Fielding Benson. Bebe is affectionately known as “MamaB” to her 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Wahiawa, Oahu. Visitation is from 9:30 am and services celebrated at 10:30 am. Burial will follow at Schofield Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Mililani Mortuary.
Chiaki Akazawa
Chiaki Akazawa, 89, of Kalaheo passed away at Kauai Veteran’s Memorial Hospital on May 17, 2013. Born on April 17, 1924 in Makaweli, Kauai, he was a mechanic with Gay and Robinson.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Rachel Akazawa.
He is survived by his son Clayton (Pamela) Akazawa of Corte Madera, CA; granddaughter, Michelle Akazawa; brother, Eugene (Jesse) Akazawa of Honolulu; sisters, Misao Mori of Santa Barbara, CA, Yukiko Kubota of Kalaheo, and Itsuko (Harry) Murabayashi of Lawai; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family from 3:30 pm, on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel in Lawai. Service will start at 4:30 pm. Family suggests casual attire and flowers are welcome.

Donald L. Ouderkirk, Sr., 82, of Kalaheo passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on May 22, 2013. Born on November 23, 1930 in Brockton, Massachusetts, he was a retired Chief Operator with Kauai Electric Co and retired US Coast Guard.
He is preceded in death by his father, Lester Ouderkirk and mother, Elsie Anderson Ouderkirk; and brother, Merton Ouderkirk.
He is survived by his wife, Ludi Ouderkirk; son, Donald (Jamie) L. Ouderkirk Jr. of Hanamaulu; daughters, Donna S. Ouderkirk of San Francisco CA., Tiger (Philip) Ouderkirk-Bachler of Atherton CA., Dyan Nicole “Nikki” Ouderkirk of Kalaheo, and Debbie Balch of Virginia; sister, Roberta (Arthur) Ouderkirk Bradstreet of Sandwich, MA.; sister-in-law, Barbara Ouderkirk of West Bridgewater, MA.; twelve grandchildren, Brandon, Christopher, and Andrew Ouderkirk, Kayla Bailey, RJ, Ashley, Christopher, Isabella, and Luke Bachler, and Sarah and Erin Balch; one great-grandchild; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Feliza Gloria Lagazo Tagavilla of Honolulu, passed away on April 26, 2013 at the age of 87. She was born in Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. She was a retired seamstress.
She is survived by daughter, Emma Tagavilla; sons, Anthony Tagavilla; Salvador Tagavilla; and Christopher Tagavilla; sister, Juanita “Aning” (Flor) Labuguen of Lihue, Kauai; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild.

Gordon Kireto, 71, of Lihue passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on May 23, 2013. Born on March 29, 1942 in Eleele, Kauai, he was a retired radar maintenance supervisor with Hawaii Air National Guard 154th squadron.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille Kireto; daughters, Cathy (Ross) Kagawa and Lani (Cory) Gokan, both of Lihue; sister, Lois Kireto of Seattle, WA; and four grandchildren, Malia Kagawa of Seattle, WA, Kalei Kagawa of Lihue, Riley Gokan of Lihue, and Kai Gokan of Lihue.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel in Lawai. Friends may visit with the family at 4:00 pm, service to follow at 5:00 pm. Inurnment at a later date.

Thomas Tokioka
Thomas Tokio Tokioka of Kapaa passed away at home on May 21, 2013, at the age of 82. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on February 14, 1931, a veteran of the United States Army and retired as a supervisor with Hawaiian Telephone Company.
He is survived by his wife, Grace “Lovey” Tokioka; one daughter, Donna (John) Takiguchi; two sons, Thomas (Malia) Tokioka and James Tokioka; former daughter-in-law, Beth Tokioka; five grandchildren, Jonathan Barretto, Jaryn (Derek Jr.) Gandia, Karly Tokioka, Pono Tokioka, Emma Tokioka; five great-grandchildren, Micah Barretto, Jordan Simao, Joshua Gandia, Hope Simao, Jaden Gandia; sisters, Margaret Fox, Loretta Mitsunaga and Hanako Haida all of Honolulu; sister-in-law, Florence Tokioka; numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, June 10, 2013 at Wailua Marina Restaurant beginning at 4:00 p.m. Private services will be held in Honolulu.
