Following Merkle who dropped three-point bombs in the first, third and fourth frames, Tab Matsumoto added 22 points and Tony Brewer finished with 19 points in the win.
Chico Chavez topped KAC with 22 points and John Penn added 11 points as both teams battled with just five players each.
In a game that stayed close until the final quarter, Michael Sagucio dropped 17 points to lead the Westside Pride to a 64-51 win over Tropang-L who stayed within five points through most of the game until the Westside surge put the win in the Pride’s pocket.
Following Saguchi, Chase Dorsett finished with 12 points, Reynante Villanueva added 11 points and Desmond Moniz finished with 10 points in the win.
James Badua topped the Tropang-L scoring with a game-high 20 points followed by Sammy Perpose with 10 points.
