LIHU‘E — The associates of Enterprise, Alamo, and National rent a car agenices charged up the Kaua‘i United Way Campaign Thursday.
The contribution of more than $16,000 from the associates helped the Kaua‘i United Way surpass its 2013 campaign goal of $635,000, said Lynnette Medrano-Stine, Kaua‘i United Way spokeswoman.
The Kaua‘i United Way recently announced it has raised $638,081 through the efforts of the community.
The donation from Enterprise, Alamo and National associates increased to $24, 759 due to the corporate matching policy, said Scott Giarman, executive director of Kaua‘i United Way.
The contribution represents an average annual increase in donations of 174 percent since 2009, the director said.
