Shawn Hosaka and the Kamehameha schools group did a great job with the food booth, and despite the rain interruptions Sunday, everything moved smoothly.
Kaua‘i High School track and field coach Richard Matsumoto had a couple of his track team volunteering and Kapa‘a track coach Ron Velasco was busy helping with the Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School people.
Congratulations to Mahealani Oana, a third-grader at St. Catherine’s School, whose mom, Amanda, in a phone conversation, said she earned top honors in the long jump and finished second in the 200 yard dash.
