LIHU‘E — A contribution to Easter Seals, Kaua‘i branch, can earn a Las Vegas trip for a lucky donor.
Easter Seals Hawai‘i is hosting the second Golf Ball Drop at the Kaua‘i Lagoons Golf Club June 9, coinciding with its annual fundraising golf tournament.
Working in collaboration with Kaua‘i Lagoons and Jack Harter Helicopters, Easter Seals Hawai‘i, Kaua‘i branch will kick off the 29th Annual Easter Seals Hawai‘i Golf Tournament with the golf ball drop which feature three prizes. The first prize is a Las Vegas trip, including airfare, hotel and meals, courtesy of Mokihana Travel Service. The runner up and third prize include a $500 shopping spree at Kukui Grove Center or a $300 gift certificate from A&B Jewelry.
Ellen Ching, Kauai coordinator for Easter Seals, said this year, getting to the golf balls is easier than ever when golf balls can be secured through the Kukui Grove Center, Mokihana Travel, or at the Easter Seals office.
People planning on becoming eligible for the golf ball drop prizes are able to receive a ticket for a $10 contribution.
There is no purchase necessary to become eligible for the golf ball drop and winners need not be present to win.
Golfers interested in signing up for the golf tournament can also pick up registration forms at the Easter Seals Kaua‘i branch office at 3201 Akahi St. in Lihu‘e.
The golf ball drop helps benefit adults and children with disabilities by giving them access to the services and programs which Easter Seals provides on O‘ahu, Maui, Kaua‘i, Lana‘i and the Big Island, a release states.
Easter Seals Hawai‘i, established in 1946, is a nonprofit organization which offers 24 service programs, making a difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities and special needs and providing resources and support to their families.
Easter Seals is the largest provider of Early Intervention services for infants and toddlers in the state. It is also one of the state’s largest providers of Madicaid Waiver services for adults with developmental disabilities.
Easter Seals Hawai‘i’s Home and Community-Based services is accredited by the Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, an assurance that an organization meets internationally-accepted standards.
