Ginger Ruiz
Ginger Lee Dee Ruiz of Kekaha, Kauai, passed away on March 28, 2013 at home at the age of 46. Born on July 16, 1966, in Waimea, Kauai, she was a cook for Waimea Brewing Company.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Aniscacia “Anna” Feliciana; and brother, Renfred D. Ruiz.
She is survived by her father, Alfred “Freddy” G. (Doris) Ruiz of Kekaha; brothers, Maurice (Kim) Ruiz of California; and Fredric (Emarina) Ruiz of Waimea; sister, Dianna “Dee” (Llewellyn “Lew”) Young of Kekaha; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2013, at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Kekaha, with visitation from 9:00am to 10:00am and Mass to be celebrated at 10:30am. and burial to follow at Kekaha Public Cemetery.

Amelia Louis Perreira
Amelia “Emily” Louis Perreira of Hanamaulu, Kauai passed away on March 29, 2013 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 96. She was born on January 29, 1917 in Omao, Kauai. She was a Homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her husband Frank G. Perreira and her son Gaylord G. Perreira.
She is survived by her son; Gregory (Crescencia) Perreira;
9 Grandchildren: Ryan (Joe-Ann) Perreira, Wesley (Stacy) Perreira, Trisha Perreira, Randall (Suzan) Perreira, Gregory S. Perreira, Richard (Cherelle Rego) Perreira, Michael Perreira, James Perreira, Victoria Perreira and 11 great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday April 11, 2013 at Immaculate Conception Church from 8:00 am to 9:45 a.m. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. and burial to follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Dwight Uyeno
Dwight Uyeno of Kekaha, Kauai, died on March 24, 2013 at Kauai Care Center at the age of 102. Born on August 7, 1910, in Waimea, Kauai, he was a plantation supersivor with Kekaha Sugar Co.
He is survived by his wife, Yachiyo M. Uyeno; son, Ensley Uyeno of Washington; daughter, Sharon Eberhart of Arlington, Texas; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A private service was held.

Akira Ishii
Akira Ishii of Koloa passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on April 4, 2013, at the age of 88. He was born in Koloa, Kauai on December 13, 1924, and retired from the Department of Water as a cashier and was a veteran of the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Ishii of Koloa, two sons, James (Sandie) Ishii of Kapaa, Shane (Jaydene) Ishii of Koloa five grandchildren, Anthony, Sierra, Erika, Emma, Erielle; one brother, Takeshi (Reiko) Ishii of California; four sisters, Hatsue Maeda of Lihue, Haruko Otsubo of Lihue, Tomiko Kabazawa of Kalaheo, Lillian (Roy) Makizuru of Koloa; sister-in-law, Alma Ishii of Eleele; brothers-in-law, Nobu Ota of Kapaa, Muneo Nagato of Kalaheo; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, April 19, 2013, at Veterans Cemetery Pavilion in Hanapepe with visitation from 9:00 a.m. and services celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial to follow at Kauai Veteran Cemetery in Hanapepe.
Kauai Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the Ishii family with arrangements.
Tino Udarbe
Tino Arellano Udarbe of Kapaa, Kauai, passed away on March 30, 2013 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital. He was 78 years old. He was born on June 30, 1934 in Magsingal, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. He retired from The Grand Hyatt Resort & Spa as a Groundskeeper.
Preceded in death by his wife Erlinda Eala Udarbe Survived by his son, Charito (Editha) Udarbe, his three daughters, Emily (Jhun) Mariano, Jane (Pio) Pimeinta, Mila (Steve) Absher, sister, Vicky Aquino, 13 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces & nephews.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday April 20, 2013 at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary Chapel in Koloa from 8:00 am, services will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Burial to follow at Lihue Cemetery.
