LIHU‘E — Following six games, Team Onipa‘a Boys Under 8 ’05 boys remain undefeated in the Boys Under 8 division in the Kaua‘i Soccer Association spring season, Saturday at the North Vidinha fields.
Team Onipa‘a BU8 ’05 finished with a 3-1 win over the Kaua‘i Rush North BU8, relegating the team to a 1-4-1 standing and four points. Team Onipa‘a BU8 ’05 is 5-0-0 and 15 points.
The Lihu‘e Ninjas BU8 took a 2-0 win over the FC Northshore Nation BU8 to improve to 4-2-0 and 12 points while the Northshore Nation BU8 drop to 2-3-0 and six points.
The Lihu‘e Arsenal BU8 was a 2-0 winner over Lihu‘e Orange Kendamas BU8 to improve to 3-1-1 and 10 points while the Orange Kendamas BU8 are still seeking its first win.
On the girls’ arena, Futsal Kaua‘i GU8 was a 3-1 winner over Team Onipa‘a GU8, improving to a 5-1-0 record and 15 points to lead the Girls Under 8 standings. Team Onipa‘a GU8 drops to 4-1-1 and 13 points.
The Kalaheo Fire picked up its first win, 3-1 over the Lihu‘e Arsenal GU8, improving to 1-3-1 and four points while the Arsenal GU8 are seeking its first win.
Under 10
The FC Northshore Nation BU10, a 1-0 winner over the Lihu‘e Makani BU10, and Team Onipa‘a BU10, a 3-1 winner over Team Onipa‘a BU9, have records of 5-1-0 and are tied for the lead of the Boys Under 10 division, each team with 15 points.
Kaua‘i Rush North BU10 took a 1-0 win over Pohaku BU10 to improve to 4-2-0 and 12 points while Pohaku BU10 drops to 3-3-0 and nine points.
Futsal Kaua‘i GU10 and Lihu‘e Cougars GU10, a 2-0 winner over Futsal Kaua‘i GU10, have standings of 5-1-0 and 15 points each to lead the Under 10 Girls division.
The FC Northshore Nation GU10, a 4-0 winner over Kaua‘i Rush GU10, and Team Onipa‘a GU10, a 3-0 winner over Makani GU10, have standings of 4-2-0 and 12 points each to tie for second place. Both Makani and the Kaua‘i Rush GU10 are seeking its first win.
Under 12
Team Onipa‘a BU12 ’01 Boys, enjoying a bye, Saturday, have a 6-1-1 and 19 points to hold the lead in the Boys Under 12 division.
Keahi BU12, dropping to the FC Northshore Nation BU12, 2-0, drops to 4-2-2 and 14 points after eight games while the Northshore Nation BU12 is 4-2-0 after six games and 12 points.
Kaua‘i Rush BU12, a 5-2 winner over Pohaku, and Pohaku BU12 have 2-4-0 records and six points.
Team Onipa‘a BU12 Elua, dropping 8-0 to Team Onipa‘a BU11 ’02 Boys, is 0-6-0 and looking for its first win while Team Onipa‘a BU11 ’02 Boys improves to 3-21- and 10 points.
On the girls’ arena, FC Northshore Nation GU12, a 2-1 winner over Kapa‘a Lanakila GU12, is 5-0-0 with 15 points to lead the GU10 division while Kapa‘a Lanakila is seeking its first win.
Pohaku GU12, shut out Team Onipa‘a GU12, 3-0 to improve to 4-1-0 and 12 points while Team Onipa‘a drops to 3-3-0 and nine points.
Kaua‘i Rush GU12 and Futsal Kaua‘i GU12 battled to a 1-1 deadlock, the Rush finishing with a 2-3-1 standing and 7 points while Futsal Kaua‘i was at 1-3-2 and five points.
The Kaua‘i Soccer Association has more than 50 teams registered and offers soccer for youth from ages 8 through 18 each Saturday at the North Vidinha fields.
The Under 16 and Under 18 teams play on Sundays, also at the North Vidinha fields.
Due to space, the results of the Under 14 will be combined with the Under 16 and Under 18 matches.
