Saui Matagiese and Sean Michael Shigematsu are totally enjoying their spring break from the University of Hawai‘i where the two young men are part of the Warrior football team who will be playing its Green-and-White spring game at Vidinha Stadium, April 20.
Saui was at the KIF Qualifying track and field meet while earlier in the day, Sean Michael had Kody Afusia, Chauncy Winchester-Makainanai, Craig Cofer and Charles Clay at the Garden Isle Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center at the Wilcox Memorial Hospital long term care unit, thrilling both the staff and residents. Mahalo to Kurt Akamine for the heads up on the Warriors’ visit.
Kudos to John Constantino, Nelson Batalion and all the Associated Students of the University of Hawai‘i, Kaua‘i on a great job with the Spring Festival. Next on the agenda is the “Walk A Mile in Her Shoes” event coming up April 12 at 11:30 a.m. followed by Earth Day. Stay tuned for more.
And gearing up for Earth Day, Thomas Noyes (they did a great job cleaning Morgan’s Ponds Saturday!) is asking for volunteers to do more work at Kamalani Playground and Lydgate Park for Earth Day, April 20.
