Katherine Elaine Samiano of Wailua Homesteads, Kauai, Hawaii. She passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on March 17, 2013. She was born in Koloa, Kauai on June 10, 1942. She was retired from K-Mart and Star Market.
She is preceded in death by: parents, Cornelio Casabar, Sr. and Sophie Taroc.
She is survived by: husband, Rudy Samiano, Wailua Homesteads; sons, Duane (Karen) Samiano, Koloa; Darrell Samiano, Wailua Homesteads; sisters, Betty Casabar, Oahu; Thelma (Stanley) Tamagawa, Hanamaulu; Shirley (Chris) Ramirez, Oahu; Christine (Dustin) Broyard, Oahu; brothers, Lorenzo “Sonny” (Lisa) Casabar, Oahu; Marcelino “Siling” (Evelyn) Taroc, Wailua Homesteads; grandchildren, Candice Samiano, Landon Samiano, Courtney Samiano, Taylor Samiano, Taira Samiano-Oliveira; great grandchild Luke Regensberg, Numerous nieces and nephews.

Yolanda “Yolly” Ranche Ragasa of Hanamaulu, passed away on March 11, 2013 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 53. She was born on December 2, 1959, Bambang, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines. She was a Nurse at Hale Kupuna.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Anita Balgos Ranche and Benjamin Yasay Ranche, mother-in-law, Rosalina Pagat Alquiza.
She is survived by her husband, Felymar Pagat Ragasa; brothers, Glenn (Precila) Ranche; Wayne Ranche; Erwin (Josie) Ranche; sisters, Jocelyn Ranche; Maribel Ranche Perrez; Lailanie Ranche Marquez; Father-in-law Rosario (Violet) Ragasa; sister-in-law Rose (Mario) Dulatre; brother-in-law, Charito Ragasa; Roger (Dina) Ragasa; Rheme (Cynthia) Ragasa; Marfyn (Marlyn) Ragasa; Eldy (Annabel) Ragasa; and numerous aunties, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

John-Eric Parinas
John-Eric Parinas of Eleele, Kauai, died on March 14, 2013 at Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital at the age of 35. Born on August 15, 1977, in Waimea, Kauai, he was an IT Technician with ITT.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Fernando and Antonia Parinas.
He is survived by his parents, Nestor and Avelina Parinas of Eleele; brother, Jay (Gail) Parinas of Waipahu; grandparents, Alvaro and Beatriz Serapio of Eleele; aunts, Rose Perona of Chicago, Leticia Delacruz of Philippines, Zeny (Clem) Lum of Las Vegas, Cris (Roel) Acob of Eleele; uncles, Donato (Mercy) Parinas of Kekaha, Puliriano (Connie) Parinas of Sacramento, CA, Amado (Rebecca) Serapio of Eleele, Hory (Leticia) Serapio of Eleele, Fidel (Estrella) Serapio of Kaumakani; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at St. Theresa Catholic Church, with viewing from 8:30 am to 10:00 am, and Mass to be celebrated at 10 am. Burial will follow at the Hanapepe Public Cemetery.

Raymonda Helen Haney
Raymonda “Monda” Helen Haney of Hanamaulu passed away at home on March 8, 2013, at the age of 54. She was born in Lihue on January 20, 1959, and was the kitchen manager at Polynesia Café in Hanalei.
She is preceded in death by her mother Esther Rapozo Kuhaulua; grandparents, Helen and Joseph I.
She is survived by her father, Stanley Carvalho; ex-husband, Michael Cardinez; four children, Kalei (Ricky Rego) Cardinez, Kanani (Harvey) Makekau, Mikey (Carolan) Cardinez, Tyrus “TC” Cardinez; five sisters, Noreen Kaneholani, Billie-Jean Hairston, Moki (Frank) Rivera, Abi Kuhaulua, Lokelani Kuhaulua; seven brothers, Alika (Shirleen) Haney, Eleu (Leila) Kuhaulua, Kaina Carvalho, Kaleo Carvalho, Destry Carvalho, Dawson Carvalho, Mitch Fanning; ten grandchildren, Megan Rego, Ricky Boy Rego, Cobie Cardinez, Daniel Makekau, Sherilyn Makekau, Kaiona Nakamura, Keona Nakamura, Nainoa Cardinez, Auree Cardinez, Kymani “small fry” Cardinez; numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and beloved friends.
A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, April 5, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. at Lydgate big pavilion. A luncheon will be served for family and friends after the service.
Kauai Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
Amayah Nevae Agpaoa
Amayah Nevae Agpaoa of Lihue, died on March 21, 2013 at US Naval Hospital, Okinawa, Japan. She was born on March 21, 2013 at US Naval Hospital, Okinawa, Japan.
Preceded in death by great, great grandparents, Flora A. Agpaoa, Salvador and Emily Carvalho, Frank and Jane Simao Sr, Joseph Freitas, Michael Borilla, Jules and Beatrice Nordmeier, Uncles, Scott (Scotty Boy) Kaneakua, Tomas (JunJun) Garcia Jr, Joseph Michae Freitas.
She is survived by her parents, Ian and Nisa Agpaoa, grandparents, Kaulana and Denny Kaneakua, Fredelito and Imelda Agpaoa, Michael (Kristen) Freitas Jr.

Luis P. Simpliciano of Hanapepe, Kauai, passed away on March 11, 2013 at Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital at the age of 92. He was born on October 30, 1920 in the Philippines. He was a retired Yardman.
He is survived by his wife; Rosita Agurilla Simpliciano; daughters; Carlina Butay; Perla (Balthazar) Duldulao; Elma (Hal) Goldberg; Luz (Rick) Alejo; Noemi (Efren) Pacol; sons; Ben (Sally) Simpliciano; Manuel (Pacita) Simpliciano; Arte (Natty) Simpliciano; Russell (Erlinda) Simpliciano; Manny (Tina) Simpliciano; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Friends may visit the family on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Holy Cross Church in Kalaheo from 9:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. and where mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Hanapepe Public Cemetery.
