Kudos to Molly McGrath, the Kaua‘i March for Babies coordinator, and all her “March” ‘ohana on a great event Saturday at the Lydgate Park main pavilion.
John Lydgate (the park is named after his grandfather) was arriving with a truckload of equipment to spruce up the park just as the walkers got started…Dewayne Kong and the Matson Navigation crew event had a chance to get a photo in.
Shelley Paik had to worry about the Kaua‘i Island Utility Cooperative Board of Directors elections, but still had time to have fun with the KIUC walkers.
Janice Bond said the old-timers like Mike Dandurand, Jim Rosa were still out helping the March of Dimes, this year, being visited by former University of Hawai‘i volleyball player Lily Kahumoku.
Kudos to Marga Goosen and Steve Kline on a great Car Fit program! Stu Burley had almost forgotten about the KIUC elections since he was volunteering and Jim Jung, a strong boating and ocean safety advocate, said he’s gone “from keels to wheels.” Stay tuned for more, hopefully.
OK, Marga is going to be busy with the last Sanctuary Ocean Count this Saturday.
