LIHU‘E — Haleakala Solar will be opening at the Kukui Grove Center in Lihu‘e this fall, according to a press release.
Based on Maui, Haleakala Solar says it’s Hawai‘i’s oldest solar photovoltaic company. Its staff can assist in solar hot water heaters as well as residential and commercial solar PV electric systems.
“As Kukui Grove strives to be more environmentally conscious than ever before, what better timing it is to be able to welcome Haleakala Solar to the center,” Kukui Grove Center general manager Wade Lord said in the release. “We are excited to have them onboard.”
Haleakala Solar has been in business for 35 years. Among its list of achievements are the completed PV solar projects for the County of Maui, including its fire stations, a police station, senior centers, parks and recreation site and wastewater treatment facilities.
“The work we have done for residents and businesses around the state has been gratifying for me and my staff,” Haleakala Solar CEO Jim Whitcomb said. “By opening a showroom in the heart of Lihu‘e, at the Kukui Grove Center, we are able to help a lot more people save on their electric bill.”
