LIHU‘E — County officials announced last week that applications are being accepted at www.kauai.gov for the Cost Sharing Summer Intern Program.
The program is sponsored by the county and local businesses. The deadline to apply for the program is April 5.
A limited number of internships will be available in the following areas: architecture; engineering and program support; hotel operations; information technology; and medical records.
The program will run for six-and-a-half weeks from June 17 to July 31.
Those selected for employment will be required to pass a drug screening test.
Anyone requiring additional support or an auxiliary aid to participate in the cost sharing program should contact the county Personnel Department at 241-4956 at least seven business days before the program begins.
