LIHU‘E — Laila Del Monte, an author, teacher and animal communicator, is on island and ready to help you connect and communicate with your special furry friends.
Prior to leading a two-day workshop, Del Monte will host a free introductory public lecture on animal communication tonight at 7 p.m. at Hale Luana Bed and Breakfast in Kilauea.
Born on the island of Formentera, Spain, Del Monte received a master’s degree in comparative religions from Sorbonne University in Paris. She has authored several books, helped many animals with behavioral problems and is known to reduce the suffering of sick and injured animals, according to her website.
“According to (Thomas) Edison and (Albert) Einstein, the human brain emits frequencies that can be instantaneously perceived by all other human brains,” Monte wrote in an email. “In the same way, we can perceive the frequencies emitted by animals. These frequencies are produced by an animal’s thoughts and emotions.”
Like all living beings, Del Monte says animals are conscious and “have the same panoply of emotions and thoughts as we have.” They feel all types of different sentiments, including love, friendship, joy, devotion, loyalty, mutual aid, patience, compassion, accompaniment, suffering, sadness, pain, sorrow, fear, jealousy, anger and annoyance, according to Del Monte.
“Animals feel both physically and emotionally, as do human beings,” she wrote. “Animal communication is done by telepathy. It allows us to receive and transmit messages. It allows us to feel the emotions and thoughts of the animal and to reveal the profound causes of a certain type of behavior.”
Using animal communication, Del Monte will teach how to understand problems such as urinating in the house, destructive behavior, separation anxiety, jealousy and dominance.
“Animal communication can also help to identify the causes of physical pain in the animal and help the veterinarian in his diagnosis,” she wrote. “It is a language without words, which is done from spirit to spirit. This dialogue is transmitted in the form of images, of physical and emotional sensations and thoughts.”
In addition to the free public lecture tonight, Del Monte will lead a two-day workshop at Hale Luana on Saturday and Sunday. She is also available for individual healing consultations.
For prices or to register for the workshop call 346-5696 or 652-4902. Hale Luana is located at 4680 Kapuna Road in Kilauea.
