LIHU‘E — Debbie Lindsey, principal of Kaua‘i High School, said there is not much time left before Project Grad takes place.
Lindsey was joined by Felina Silva, co-chair of the Kapa‘a High School Project Grad, and Nely Caberto, principal of Waimea High School, in accepting contributions for their respective Project Grad programs from representatives of A&B Hawai‘i.
The presentation to the three Project Grad is an almost annual event by the A&B Foundation, represented at the presentation by Tom Shigemoto, Suzette Kane and Trinette Kaui of A&B Properties and Gloria Girald of Kaua‘i Commercial.
The A&B contribution joins a list of recipients who have received awards, which benefit the education and health of Kaua‘i’s young people.
Project Grad allows graduating high school seniors an opportunity to celebrate their commencement in a safe, drug, alcohol and tobacco-free environment with their classmates, keeping them off the streets following their respective graduation ceremonies.
