Stephanie Iona had a preview of the Cruisin’ in Paradise car show when she stopped to coordinate the conference for Hawaiian students with Ray Blouin Wednesday.
Harvey Maeda, Bobby Paik and Richard Aki were busy rolling in some classic cars, which are going to be on display in the Aloha Beach Hotel lobby through Saturday afternoon as part of the Cruisin’ in Paradise.
One of the side trips from that cruise was visiting Maile Cox, who re-opened the Rainbow Gas Mart with a new f’real (Chloe Marchant said there was a line for the treats), blending milk shakes, smoothies (the strawberry banana is a bomb!) and frozen coffees. They’re open 24 hours a day so anytime is smoothie time.
Aunty Stella Burgess said there are a number of changes to this year’s Prince Kuhio celebrations, starting with the Garden Isle Artisan Fair coordinated by Judy Webb at Po‘ipu Beach Park Saturday from
9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
