The Kaua‘i Filipino Community Council is looking for candidates for its Miss Kaua‘i Filipina Scholarship Pageant which is scheduled for May 25 at the Kaua‘i War Memorial Convention Hall.
Young ladies of Filipino ancestry between the ages of 18 through 27 years old are invited to participate in the scholarship pageant experience which will result in one girl being crowned the Miss Kaua‘i Filipina 2013.
Deanna Rapozo is the current reigning Miss Kaua‘i Filipina and will give up her crown to the new Miss Kaua‘i Filipina during the scholarship pagent.
Proceeds from the pagent will go to the KFCC Scholarship Fund which provides scholarships not only to the pageant participants, but to graduating high school seniors who have plans to pursue higher education.
