KOLOA – The Kaua‘i Department of Water has cancelled the water outage for Koloa that was scheduled for today, and will reschedule it for next month.
A notice will be sent out when a new date has been selected. Today’s shutdown would have allowed DOW’s contractor Pacific Trenchless to tie into the existing system, but preliminary tests indicate that adjustments need to be made before the connection can occur.
Officials with the Department of Water said they apologize for the inconvenience and thanks the public for their patience as the department continues to make improvements to its aging infrastructure.
