LIHU‘E — Keiki 4 to 12 years old are invited to participate in a free jump rope clinic March 2 and 3 at one of two sites on Kaua‘i.
Presented by the Unchartered Waters Sports Ministry, the clinic will teach children how to jump rope and jump rope tricks, and students will have fun while learning from positive role models.
There is no fee for any of the clinics, which will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at the Anahola Clubhouse on March 2, and from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Kalaheo Missionary Church on March 3.
Both jump rope clinics will be led by Anna Flint, who is part of a professional jump rope team and has been jumping since the third grade.
Flint has competed at the Junior Olympics as well as at state, regional and national levels. She also participated in a halftime show for an Indianapolis Colts football game.
The Anahola Clubhouse site will offer free jump rope and lunch will be provided for children attending the clinic. Although there is no registration fee, donations are welcome with funds used to support bringing the sports camp to Kaua‘i this summer.
Call Rae Nam at 823-8328 or email mitihi@gmail.com for more information or to register for the Anahola Clubhouse clinic March. 2.
The Kalaheo Missionary Church site will offer free jump rope and snacks for children attending the clinic at that site.
