Volunteers donate benches to Waimea High School

WAIMEA — The West Kaua‘i Lions Club and numerous community members presented concrete benches throughout Waimea High School’s campus on Jan. 18.

The collaborative effort and many volunteer-working hours have been in the making since last school year to put together this donation to the school.

The benches have been situated under various trees to shade anyone sitting on them. All students, faculty and staff benefit from them on campus by having a place to sit and rest before, during and after school hours.  

Principal Nely Caberto and Vice Principal Anne Kane thanked community supporters, alumni of Waimea High School and organizations that came to together in collaboration to donate such a long-lasting development on the school’s campus.
