Kudos, too, to Hannah Timbol and all her Kaua‘i Filipino Women’s Club people on a great “Ladies in Red” luncheon Sunday at the Kaua‘i Beach Resort. Bobbie Franklin, Millie Wellington and Jean Odo were there, thrilled that their mother, Guadalupe Bulatao, was the founder of the club many years ago. Now, it’s on to the 49th Terno Ball!
Hats off to Gary Hudson and the adult soccer league on getting its new season underway Sunday. Dee and Ken Morikawa said it was a good thing Americans of Japanese Ancestry baseball had a forfeit so they could take in the game to watch their sons play.
There’s still time to get in on tickets for the American Culinary Federation Breakfast this Sunday. Duane Miyasato had a culinary arts student manning a table at the Kaua‘i Community Market. Breakfast is this Sunday from 7 to 11 a.m. Tickets are still available at the KCC cafeteria.
