LIHU‘E – The Agency on Elderly Affairs is currently accepting nominations for the 2013 Outstanding Male and Female Older American awards, according to a county news release.
The program is designed to honor older adults age 65 and older that have made exceptional contributions to the community.
Nomination forms are available 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday at the Agency on Elderly Affairs located at the Lihu‘e Civic Center, Pi‘ikoi Building, Ste. 330. The deadline to submit a nomination is Feb. 28.
All nominees will be honored at an awards ceremony in May, in recognition of May being Older Americans Month. Kaua‘i’s Outstanding Male and Female Older Americans will be announced at that event.
