Avelina U. Bumagat
Avelina U. Bumagat of Lihue went peacefully to the lord at the Provincial Hospital in Laoag City, Philippines on December 8, 2012 at the age of 81. She was born in Lihue, Hawaii on April 28, 1931. She was a homemaker and loved to cook.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Carlina Jiminez; mother, Isabel Fernandez; and step-father, Sylvestre Fernandez.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Felipe R. Bumagat; son and daughters, Rozel (Wayne) Ebinger, Henry (Delia) Bumagat, Delia (Jun) Astrologio, Joannie Bumagat, Marina (Lance) Nojima, Aleli Teresita (Sammy) Cadiz, Ruena Bumagat; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grand child; one brother, Blas (Florida) Robledo; numerous nieces, nephews and relatives.
A gathering in the celebration of her life will be held at Niumalu Pavilion on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 6 p.m.
Damian Garma
Damian Garma of Kapaa, Kauai, died on January 15, 2013 at Garden Isle Health Care at the age of 86. Born on February 12, 1926, in Laoag City, Philippines, he was an Irrigator with Lihue Plantation.
He is survived by his wife, Adriana Jacinto Garma; son, Roger “Mario” (Nora) Jacinto Garma of San Jose Calif.; daughters, Eliza (Wally) Garma Daquioag, and Rina (Thom) Garma Pascual; sister, Sebedilla Garma of Philippines; nine grandchildren, Marlon Gabriel Garma, Kristina Gabriel Garma, Mark Damian Gabriel Garma, Mary Garma Daquioag, Sheldon Garma Daquioag, Kenneth Garma Daquioag, Kirstie Mia Garma Pascual, Kleiff Garma Pascual, and Kyleen Nina Garma Pascual; and two great-grandchildren, Jaezallyn, and Kailani.
Wake services will be held on Friday, February 8, 2013, at Garden Island Mortuary Chapel in Lawai, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Kapaa, with viewing from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., and Mass celebrated at 10 am. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Alejandro “Ale” Otlang of Eleele, Kauai, Hawaii passed away on January 22, 2013 at his home in Eleele at the age of 70. Born on November 9, 1942 in Koloa, Kauai, he was Retired, Army National Guard and a Heavy Equipment Trainer, McBryde Sugar Plantation.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Narcisco Otlang and Tecla Otlang-Gelbolingo; brothers, Francisco, Sibero, Cipirino, Cristobal Otlang and Juan Pantohan.
Survived by his wife, Sharlene Garcia Otlang, Eleele; daughters, Alexis (Gerald) Poblete, Maui; Rexana (Trevor) Otlang- Berry, Oahu; sisters, Jeannie Oroc, Kekaha, Flora Relacion, Honolulu; brother, Terry Pantohan, Hanamaulu; 3 grandchildren, Justin Alexander Berry, age 13, Gia Kanani and Josiah Marquez Poblete.

Ward Kawaioluokalani Peters passed away on January 13, 2013 in Sacramento, California at the age of 45. Born on June 30, 1967 in Kauai, Hawaii, he was a Machine/production operator for various Dairy companies in Sacramento, California.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Eloise K Peters; father, Spencer K. Peters Sr.; and Lucinda K. Peters.
He is survived by two sisters, Venus K. Corpuz of Kalaheo, Penlois M. (Daryl) Pundkye of Hanamaulu; and one brother Spencer K. (Sherry) Peters Jr. of San Leandro, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private service will be held on February 4, 2013 3 p.m. at Salt Pond, Pavilion 1.
Kurt Ingram
Kurt Ingram of Kekaha passed away in California on January 3, 2013, at the age of 46. He was born in California on November 17, 1966.
He is survived by his mother, Wanda Ingram; three daughters, Madison Ingram, Kaitlyn Ingram and Kyla Christine; brother, Cottrell Ingram; sister, Mia Gaines-Alt (Jason); three nieces and two nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2013, at Lihue Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.
Kauai Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the Ingram family with arrangements.
Josefina Sagucio
Josefina Beltran Fayloga Sagucio of Eleele, Kauai, Hawaii passed away on January 04, 2013 at her residence at the age of 98. Born on March 16, 1914 in Pagudpud, Bangui, Ilocos Norte, she was a laborer at Dole Cannery, Kapaa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Venancio and Victoria Beltran Fayloga; and 4 brothers.
She is survived by her daughter, Esperanza (Orlino) Antolin Sr.; 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 8 great great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday February 9, 2013 at Saint Johns Episcopal Church, Eleele. Visitation will begin at 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. with mass to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m.; Burial to follow at Kalapaki Bay Cemetery, Lihue.
