Thanks to the efforts of four Kaua‘i Fire Department engine companies and the Air 1 helicopter, the brush fire in Anahola is under control.
As of 6:15 p.m., firefighters were continuing to fight hot spots in the area, and Kukuihale and Manai Roads in the area remain closed.
The fire, located off Kukuihale Road near the Anahola Beach Park, was reported by a resident at 3:52 p.m., county officials said.
