Kaua‘i remains in a high surf warning for north and west facing shores until 6 p.m. Sunday evening. The fire department’s Ocean Safety Bureau has closed all north shore beaches for Sunday.
Beaches on Kaua‘i’s east, south and west shores remain open. Beachgoers are encouraged to utilize Lydgate, Po‘ipu and Hanapepe Salt Pond Beach parks during this period of high surf.
