Josephine Keale
Josephine K. Keale of Waimea, Kauai passed away on January 8, 2013 at Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital at the age of 69. She was born on August 14, 1943 on Kauai, Hawaii.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Moses and Adline Keale; stepfather, Joseph Kahale; two brothers, Moses Kelae, Jr. and Moses Keale; three sisters, Adline Rivers, Rose Koleka Kaliloa, and Rebecca Keale.
She is survived by her caregiver, Leslie “Chala” Vidinha; brothers, Arthur (Dorothy) Keale, Joseph (Waiola) Keale, and Arthur Kahale; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Borthwick Mortuary Chapel in Koloa from 9:00 am to 9:50 am where memorial services will be celebrated at 10:00 am.
Arrangements were made by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary, Koloa, Kauai.
Clarence Satoshi Shiraki
Clarence Satoshi Shiraki of Lihue passed away at home on December 28, 2012 at the age of 79. He was born in Kealia, Kauai on August 2, 1933, and retired as the warehouse manager of Hale Kauai.
He is survived by his wife, Katherine Shiraki of Lihue; daughters, Candace (Jonathan) Sasaki of Oahu and Carrie (Randal) Sakaino of Oahu; 3 grandchildren; sister, Gladys Sugihara of Hanamaulu; numerous nieces nephews and cousins.
Private services were held.
Kauai Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the Shiraki family with arrangements.
Mariano Visitacion
Mariano Agustin Visitacion of Lihue passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on January 8, 2013, at the age of 74. He was born in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Philippines on September 11, 1938, and retired from McBryde Sugar Plantation as a supervisor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leandro and Rosa Visitacion; brothers, Pedro and Macario; sisters, Melchora Daenos and Maria Lorenzo; grandson, Brendan Leary.
He is survived by his wife, Leticia Visitacion of Lihue; son, Chad (Kristine) Visitacion of Lihue; daughter, Marlene (Noel) Leary of Lihue; four grandchildren, Peyton Visitacion, Mariano Visitacion II, Meghan Leary, Emma Leary; sisters, Martina (Simeon) Patricio of Kalaheo, Teresa Calma of Hanamaulu; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2013, at Immaculate conception Church with viewing from 8:00 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Patricia “Pat” Rose Robinson
Patricia “Pat” Rose Robinson of Eugene, Oregon (formerly of Kauai), passed away peacefully at home on December 10, 2012, at the age of 80. Born on March 13, 1932, in Sacramento, California, she was the former Director of Kauai Big Brothers, Big Sisters.
She was preceded in death by her parents Geoffrey and Catherine Davis; and brother, William Davis.
She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Jerry; daughters Cathi Malama Robinson, Jan (Rodney) Pascua, Suzan (Gene) Gebow; and son, John (Jona Mae) Robinson; sister-in-law, Renee Davis; and brother, Geoff (Carla) Davis, Jr.; 5 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
A private scattering of her ashes was held on Kauai. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, January 27, 2013, at Poipu Beach Park Main Pavilion at 2:00pm.
Family requests that attendees wear something blue and green, Pat’s favorite colors.
Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to Kauai Hospice.
