LIHU‘E — Better Choices, Better Health is looking for volunteers to lead its senior program.
Better Choices, Better Health was designed by Stanford University, and it aims to help seniors better manage their chronic conditions such as arthritis, diabetes, high blood pressure and anxiety, according to a county news release.
There will be two orientation meetings held at the Lihu’e Civic Center, Pi‘ikoi Building.
The first meeting is scheduled on Tuesday from 3 to 4 p.m., in the Agency on Elderly Affairs’ meeting room.
The second meeting is set for Jan. 25 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in conference room B.
To become a certified leader in the BCBH program, volunteers will need to complete a four-day training program scheduled on Feb. 5, 7, 12 and 14, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. All of the sessions will be held in the Agency on Elderly Affairs’ meeting room.
