Leoneen Headen
Leoneen “Grandma Lee” Headen passed away at her home on December 28, 2012 at the age of 88. Born on March 14, 1924 in Guyana, South America, she was a retired hostess for Hula Girl and Coco Palms.
She is survived by her daughter, Jeanette Dietz; 3 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and 12 great great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Immaculate Conception Church from 8:00 am to 9:45 am where a memorial mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am.

Margarita Cabalce Dawa
Margarita Cabalce Dawa of Hanalei passed away on January 1, 2013 at the age of 76. Born on November 26, 1936 in Pozorrubio, Pangasinan, Philippines, she was a self-employed Taro Farmer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Maximo Dawa; companion, Canuto Tangonan; father, Felipe Cabalce; and mother, Maria Blanza.
She is survived by her sons, Rudolfo (Maria-deceased) Mantanan, Romeo Dawa, and Remegio (Amanda) Tangonan; daughters, Marissa (Brent) Batterman, Maxima (Michael) Schmidt, Marilyn (Larry) Dawa-Loos; step-children, Abraham (Elvira) Tangonan, Grace Bancud, Genoveva (Diosdado) Yabes, and Myrna (Felix) Rodriguez; 15 grandchildren, Violeta, Virginia, Rommel, Rainier, Leah, Sheena, Rocky, Naomi, Cassey, Britney, Matthew, Luke, Mikala, Rylee, Alexa; 7 great-grandchildren, Kapono, Tiffany, Eliana, Shyli, Kyra, Ryann, and Nnyken; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family on Monday, January 14, 2013 at St. Williams Church in Hanalei from 9:00 am to 9:45 am where mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am; burial to follow at St. Catherine’s Church Cemetery.

Morris “Bud” White
Morris “Bud” White of Kilauea passed away on January 10, 2013, at the age of 84. He was born in New Jersey on August 17, 1928 and retired from the United States Marine Corp and was also known as the North Shore walker.
He was preceded in death by his son, Kurt White; two sisters, Eleanor and Peggy.
He is survived by five children; six grandchildren; sister, Lillian Herman of Arizona; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2013, with graveside services at 11:00 at Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe.

Patricia “Pat” Rose Robinson
Patricia “Pat” Rose Robinson of Eugene, Oregon (formerly of Kauai), passed away peacefully at home on December 10, 2012, at the age of 80. Born on March 13, 1932, in Sacramento, California, she was the former Director of Kauai Big Brothers, Big Sisters.
She was preceded in death by her parents Geoffrey and Catherine Davis; and brother, William Davis.
She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Jerry; daughters Cathi Malama Robinson, Jan (Rodney) Pascua, Suzan (Gene) Gebow; and son, John (Jona Mae) Robinson; sister-in-law, Renee Davis; and brother, Geoff (Carla) Davis, Jr.; 5 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
A private scattering of her ashes was held on Kauai. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, January 27, 2013, at Poipu Beach Park Main Pavilion at 2:00pm.
Family requests that attendees wear something blue and green, Pat’s favorite colors.
Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to Kauai Hospice.
Dorothea Aganos
Dorothea Leimaiole Aganos, 66, of Wailuku, passed away on December 29, 2012 at Hale Makua in Kahului. She was born in Honolulu on July 26, 1946. Dorothea was a retired Elementary School Teacher from Kihei Elementary School and Waihee Elementary School. She dedicated her life to Teaching and Education for over 40 years.
She is survived by her son, Kawika (Dolly) Aganos; brothers, Leslie (Pam) Dunn, and Colin A. (Melanie) Dunn; two grandchildren; one niece; and one nephew.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, January 18, 2013 at Ballard Family Mortuary, memorial services will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Angela L. Lewis of Anahola, Kauai, Hawaii passed away on December 28, 2012 at Samuel Mahelona Hospital in Kapaa at the age of 32. Born in Honolulu, Oahu on January 24, 1980, she was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jay Lewis, and Byrene White.
She is survived by her husband, Eddie Subish; daughters, Aysia Lewis-Subish, Noriko Lewis-Subish, and Angelica Lewis-Subish; son, Eddie Boy Lewis-Subish; sisters, Natasha White, Faun Lewis, and Nadia Troche; brothers, Jonah Lewis, and Noah Troche.
Celebration of Life will be held privately.

Isabel Adorable
Isabel “Bella” Adorable of Eleele, Kauai, Hawaii passed away at Queens Medical Center, Oahu on December 21, 2012 at the age of 70. Born on January 18, 1942 in Eleele, Kauai, she was a retired librarian technician for Kauai Community College.
She was preceded in death by her father, Canuto Adorable; mother, Feliciana Boja Adorable; brother, Regino Adorable; sisters, Ceferina Adorable and Francisca Rosare.
She is survived by her sister, Aurelia “Lia” de la Cruz, Kauai, Eusebia Kline, Kentucky; brother, Andres Adorable, California; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, January 19, 2012 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kalaheo. Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M. with Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 A.M.; burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Itsuo Azeka
Itsuo Azeka, age 76, born in Kauai, HI, resident of Manhattan Beach, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 28, 2012.
He is survived by his wife, Kazuko Azeka; siblings, Hiroshi Azeka, Ayame (Kats) Katsumoto and Clifford Azeka all of Hawaii; and by many nieces, nephew and other relatives here and in Hawaii.
Private funeral was held on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Fukui Mortuary “Chapel in the Garden” with Rev. Shumyo Kojima of Sotoshu Daihonzan Hokubei Betsuin Zenshuji officiating.
Alexander “Lex” Brodie
Alexander “Lex” Hofgaard Brodie passed away on January 11, 2013. He was 98. He was born in Kekaha, Kauai.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; children, Wendy Pelligrini (Gerry), Sandy Brodie (Lynn), Robert Brodie, Janet Teves (Damon); seven grandchildren; five great-granddaughters; and one great-great grandson.
Private services will be held.
