What goes hand-in-hand with the Westside’s favorite pastries? One important beverage: Kaua‘i Coffee’s very own Vanilla Macadamia Nut Coffee.
I, for one, wholeheartedly agree. The morning just isn’t right when you are not sipping on a freshly brewed cup of Kaua‘i coffee and munching on a delicious warm pandesal. I could have those two things anytime of the day, come to think of it.
That’s exactly what is offered at Aloha Sweet Delites — homemade pastries and Kaua‘i’s favorite coffee.
“We feature Kaua‘i Coffee because the coffee is very flavorful,” said Clyde Nada, general manager of Aloha Sweet Delites.
Nada said that they’ve been serving Kaua‘i Coffee for six months.
Lota Nada, office manager of Aloha Sweet Delites explained the different types of coffee offered at the store: “We have vanilla, macadamia nut, medium roast, Hawaiian hazelnut and coconut caramel crunch.”
Coffee sells for $1.09 a cup, and seniors pay $0.99 a cup.
Lota said the store’s most popular coffees are the vanilla macadamia nut and the medium roast.
After I interviewed Cylde and Lota, I was treated to a cup of vanilla macadamia nut coffee.
I saw people coming and going, both visitors and locals, purchasing boxes and packages of assorted pastries. Everyone who worked in the bakery smiled and enjoyed what they were doing. I sipped on my coffee, used the store’s Wi-Fi connection and reminisced on the days when I used visit the bakery as a child.
The coffee was magnificent and extremely flavorful. It tastes exactly as its name indicates — the vanilla and macadamia nut were very flavorful. You can’t go wrong with a cup of this delicious Kaua‘i-made coffee, while cruising inside the quiet and relaxing ambiance of Aloha Sweet Delites.
If you’re looking for a spot to enjoy tasty coffee and pastries, a Wi-Fi connection and a quiet spot, then Aloha Sweet Delites is the place for you.
