PO‘IPU — Ronald Omo was announced as the Po‘ipu Bay Golf Course Employee of the Year for 2012, recently.
Omo was joined by Vince Fermin of the golf course’s Building Maintenance, Fermin being named an Aloha Spirit Award winner with Omo for the Winter 2012 period, states a Po‘ipu Bay release.
“Once all the ‘Aloha Spirit Award’ honorees are named, the managers vote on who is the Employee of the Year,” said Craig Sasada, manager of the Po‘ipu Bay Golf Course. “We’re proud of Ronald who was named the 2012 Employee of the Year.”
Starting with the Po‘ipu Bay Golf Course in 2005, Omo is a Guest Service Attendant.
“Ronald has become a leader in his department and has an excellent track record,” said Chad Dusenberry, Omo’s supervisor who nominated him for the award. “He is consistent and completes his work assignments accurately and on time. Additionally, he works well with others and always provides our guests with a high standard of service.”
Fermin is in Building Maintenance at the Po‘ipu Bay Golf Course where he started in 2000.
“No matter how big, or small a task, Vince will complete it to the best of his abilities in a timely manner,” said Anson Abalos, Fermin’s supervisor who nominated him for the award. “He is always willing to help others.”
Po‘ipu Bay Golf Course employee awards are based on nominations made by department supervisors in the areas of attendance, conscientiousness, attitude, efficiency, innovation, guest service and aloha spirit, states the release.
Semi-annual winners receive a variety of gifts and are eligible for the annual Employee of the Year award.
