LIHU‘E — County officials said there were no fireworks-related injuries reported on New Year’s Eve.
But to some residents in Princeville, Kaua‘i’s North Shore, the grass will not be greener on the other side of the fence, at least for a little while.
“There was a fireworks-related grass-fire fronting a residence in Princeville,” county spokeswoman Sarah Blane said.
The fire burned an area measuring roughly 30 feet by 20 feet, according to Blane.
“Firefighters responded and extinguished the small fire,” she said.
