Michael M. Aki of Lawai, Kauai died on December 17, 2012 at the age of 55. Born on May 17, 1957 in Lihue, he was the President and owner of Hawaii Partition Systems.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond X. Aki and Veronica Commons; brother, Jerome Aki; and sister, Claire Aki.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Pearl Aki; four sons, Keola Aki, Kainoa (Uluwehi) Aki, Kaiwi Aki, and Kupono Aki, all of Lawai; seven daughters, Moani Aki, Mokihana Aki, Maile Aki, Melia Aki, Mahealani Aki, Momi Aki, and Makanani Aki, all of Lawai; five brothers, Raymond Aki of Florida, Blaise (Carol) Aki of Kapaa, Matthew Aki of Maui, Timothy (Kurumi) Aki of Mililani, and Kevin Aki of Las Vegas; seven sisters, Maria (Fred) Orr of Mililani, Maureen (Richard) Carvalho of Ewa Beach, Seana Aki of Mililani, Veronica (Greg) Lindo of Arizona, Anne (Ashbell) Park of Arizona, Elizabeth (Michael) Manning of Washington, and Monica (Albert) Nagahisa of Wailua; and two grandchildren, Harrea and Namoku.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 28, 2012, at St. Raphael’s Church in Koloa with viewing from 9:00 a.m, and Mass celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Lunch to follow at Poipu Beach Park (Big Pavillion). Feel free to bring a pupu to share.
