Hats off to Marionette Taboniar on another successful Fine Arts Festival at the National Tropical Botanical Garden. Dr. Carl Miller did a phenomenal job with his classic guitar, providing the right music for the blowing winds and enhanced electronically with just enough to keep the music flowing above the wind.
Bonita Hensley was attracting all kinds of people with her floral pieces which were shot in the Gardens (gotta try the kama‘aina day tour for the lotuses) and Rhonda Forsberg has a lot more to offer than the sampling she had at the Gardens (visit www.rhondaforsbergphotography.blogspot.com for more than a photographic treat).
Patrice Pendarvis had her hands full with the winds at the Kaua‘i Community College Saturday, and had to deal with it again Sunday — good thing she could have her two dogs to help her.
Congratulations to Jeff Hubbard on the 2012 International Bodyboarding Association World Tour Championship (mahalo to Mark Hubbard for the heads-up)!
OK, it’s time to go see what happens with the Kaua‘i and Kapa‘a varsity boys soccer.
