Honorio Esposo
Honorio “Mariano” Aurelio Esposo of Omao, Kauai, Hawaii passed away on November 11, 2012 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 88. Born in Ilocos Norte, Philippines on December 11, 1923, he was a retired seed cutter for McBryde Sugar Plantation & a security guard for Wackenhut.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Celedonia Esposo; son, Richard Esposo; daughter, Patricia Versola; grandson, Kevin Smith; brother, Aniceto Esposo; and his first wife, Ricarda Esposo.
He is survived by his wife, Guadalupe “Fe” Esposo; daughters, Barbara (Steve) Holland, Marina (Bryan) Mori, Yolinda Remigio, Carolinda Jennings, Glenda (Jay) Fernandez; sons, Roming Esposo, Windelle (Janine) Esposo; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am with service at 10:00 am. Burial to follow at Hanapepe Public Cemetery.

Marilyn J. Keoho
Marilyn Jean Keoho passed away on October 27, 2012 at Valley Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada at the age of 68. Born on January 25, 1944 on Kauai, she was the Founder of Hale Ho’omalu and later retired from the County of Kauai.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Judith Gomez.
She is survived by her husband, Edward K. Keoho, Sr.; daughters, Malia (Canen) Hookano, Leilani (Elton Kaui) Keoho, Leimomi (Mark) Niitani; son, Edward (Rochelle) Keoho, Jr.; sisters, Lauren Lui-Kwan, Donna Gomez-Powers, Emma (Jay) Furfaro; brother, Robert (Helene) Gomez; 14 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunties and uncles.
Services will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Kauai Veterans Center. Viewing will be from 8:30-10:00 with services and burial to follow.
Bessie Miyoko Awakuni
Bessie Miyoko Awakuni of Kapaa, Kauai, died on November 14, 2012 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 87. Born on December 6, 1924, in Moloaa, Kauai, she was a retired registered nurse and night supervisor with Mahelona Hospital.
She is survived by her husband, Yoshio Awakuni; son, Russell (Jenny); daughters, Colleen Morita and Ivy (Peter) Yagi; seven grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Garden Island Mortuary Chapel in Lawai. Visitation at 3 pm, service starts at 4 pm.
