The three participating high schools in the Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation each placed five members on the KIF Cheer All-Stars.
Waimea High School, announced as the 2012 KIF Cheer champion, placed three seniors and two juniors on the all-star selection announced by the KIF Wednesday.
Marissa Hesapene, Bryana Resquer-Yorkman and Harry Kaliko Wa‘ahila Jr. are the Menehune seniors. Tiffany Patricio-Huddy and Kawena‘ulaonalani Warren are the Waimea junior members.
Kaua‘i High School placed a senior, three juniors and a freshman on the all-star roster, Kyren Ishikawa getting the nod as the sole Red Raider senior. Tamara Akau, Dillon Ancheta and Kent Morano make up the juniors with Caley Caires being the sole freshman.
Kapa‘a High School placed one junior, three sophomores and a freshman on the all-star selections, Uilani McCabe being the sole Warrior 11th grader.
Ariel Cummings, Chelsea Ferrer and Chassidy Rivera are the Kapa‘a sophomores on the all-star team while Brylyn Aiwohi is the sole Kapa‘a freshman.
The Waimea and Kaua‘i high school cheer squads will be participating in the 2012 Zippy’s Hawai‘i High School Athletic Association Cheer Championships at the Blaisdell Arena Saturday on O‘ahu.
