LIHU‘E — There’s no school on Veterans Day, and if you’re looking for something for your children to do, bring them to the one-day Critter Camp at the Kaua’i Humane Society animal shelter. Campers will spend time with the animals, walking dogs, brushing cats, playing with puppies and kittens, learning about animals who have helped our soldiers and enjoying exciting games and crafts.
The session will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday. The cost is $35 for the day. Water and one snack are provided and campers will need to bring their lunches and a second snack, if desired.
Parents may register or sign up for the camp at www.kauaihumane.org. Click on calendar, and then on the date to register.

Additional one-day camps will be held on Nov. 23; Jan. 31; and Jan. 2.
Week-long Critter Camps will be held Dec. 17 to 21; and Jan 24, plus Jan. 26 to 28.
