Ricarte Tumacder
Ricarte “Ricky” Tumacder of Hanamaulu passed away at Tripler Army Hospital on November 1, 2012 at the age of 83. He was born in Hanamaulu on March 24, 1929, retired from the State of Hawaii, Department of Education at Hale Hauoli, and was also a veteran of the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife, Emilia Tumacder; children, Robert Tumacder of Anchorage, Alaska, Ernest (Michelle) Tumacder of Kaneohe, Hawaii, Ricarte Tumacder Jr. of Naha, Okinawa, Deborah (James) Tumacder-Pickering of Sherwood, Arkansas, Sandra Sagisi Tumacder (Kendall) Moser of Honolulu, Hawaii, Melaney (Larry) Ha’o of Lihue, Marylyn (Brad) Lee of Honolulu, Hawaii, James (Janet Hatmaker) Bergado of Sevierville, Tennessee; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Dominador Tomacder; sister, Trining Fernandez; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at the Kauai Veterans Center in Lihue with visitation from 9:00 a.m. and services celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be held at the Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe at 2:00 p.m.
Kauai Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the Tumacder family with arrangements.
Peter Cocozza
Peter Cocozza of Kekaha, formerly a long time resident of Ventnor City, passed away on October 24, 2012, at the age of 52. Born in Atlantic City, New Jersey on September 16, 1960, he was a plumber all his life and was employed by Local 675 Plumbers Union.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter A Cocozza Jr. and Lucille B. Troller.
He is survived by his wife, Angela Cocozza; son, Peter Cocozza of Florida; two daughters, Kayleigh Cocozza of Petersburg NJ, Nicole Cocozza of Florida; 2 grandchildren, uncles, aunts and numerous cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held Thursday, November 8, 2012, at the Gormley Funeral Home LLC 2706 Atlantic Avenue, Atlantic City with visitation from 10:00a.m and services held at 11:00a.m. Burial will be in Laurel Memorial Park Cemetery on Tilton Road, Pomona.
Donations may be made in Peter Cocozza’s memory to Kauai Humane Society or Kauai Hospice.

Alvin Wasano
Alvin “Barney” Wasano of Kekaha, Kauai died on November 5, 2012 at KVMH at the age of 76. Born on November 23, 1935, in Lihue, Kauai, he was a MsGsgt with Marine Corps and Industrial Fireman with Boeing Co.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Lincoln Wasano, Edwin Wasano, and John Fritz; and sisters, Ethel Fritz and Doris Yee.
He is survived by his wife, Julia Wasano; son, Cedric H. Wasano of Seattle, WA; daughter, Blanche M. Tombleson-Wasano of Lake Forest, CA; 2 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brother, Stanley Wasano of Kentucky; sisters, Lorraine Davis of Nevada and Joann Souza of Honolulu; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Garden Island Mortuary Chapel in Lawai. Service will be at 2 pm.
Family suggests casual attire.
