LIHU‘E — Matt Stevenson, representing the 4H Livestock program on Kaua‘i, accepted an A&B Foundation grant, which will be used to help students enrolled in the 4H Livestock program.
Trinette Kaui and Tom Shigemoto of A&B Properties was joined by Don Sargent of McBryde Resources, A&B’s newest Kaua‘i subsidiary, in making the presentation.
“This will enable the workshops and clinics we have for our livestock students to continue,” Stevenson said. “These clinics are very helpful to the students who are involved in raising livestock, many of which are seen by the public during the Kaua‘i County Farm Bureau Fair and purchased by auction by members of the community.”
Stevenson said the ranchers, sheep producers and other livestock producers are more than happy to accommodate student visits to their facilities and talk about raising livestock.
“A&B continues to support the community with these types of grants,” Kaui said.
