Oct. 7 marked the final day of the two-day Coconut Festival, held at Kapa’a Beach Park. The festival was presented by the Kapa’a Business Association.
The event celebrated its 16th year of existence.
On the final day, the event began at 10 a.m. and concluded at 4 p.m.
Hundreds of locals and visitors were on hand and enjoyed a wide array of live music, food booths, cultural demonstrations and activities.
There were also many local vendors and nonprofit organizations.
On the main stage, local musical artists such as Anuhea and Kaua‘i Pro-Am Show Band performed to the delight of the crowd.
On the keiki cultural stage, groups such as the Kapa’a middle school ‘Ukulele and Choir strummed and sang their way to the hearts of all.
Underneath of the coconut cooking demonstration tent, some of Kaua‘i’s finest chefs prepared some tasty coconut style dishes.
