LIHU‘E — Applications for golfers and sponsors of the 8th Annual Golf Tournament benefiting the West Kaua‘i Medical Center Charitable Foundation are being accepted.
In addition to helping the Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Hospital and the West Kaua‘i Medical Center, golfers are promised a day of spook-tacular fun in the Halloween-themed tournament which plays on Oct. 28 at the Po‘ipu Bay Golf Course with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.
Application for golfers is $100 per player and includes greens fees, lunch, golf cart and awards. For tax purposes, $28 is donated to the Foundation. There is an early bird registration deadline of Oct. 24.
Mulligans are available for $5 each to a maximum of three per player. A free mulligan is earned for golfers who show up with a carved or decorated pumpkin on tournament day.
Additionally, prizes will be awarded for the best carved or decorated pumpkin as well as for the best costume, the prizes being awarded during the reception which follows play at the Grand Hyatt Kaua‘i Resort and Spa Ballroom.
A longest drive, Closest to the Pumpkin, will be available on all Par 3 holes for men and women.
Sponsorship includes any community contribution or gifts with sponsorship packages including a Bronze level for $100, a Silver level for $300, a Gold level for $500 and a Platinum level for anything $1,000, or more.
