Leonard “the movie star” Vegas was in his element, having to drive his daughter Alyssa “Malu” (who is already ready for her close-up), Saturday during the Kaua‘i High School homecoming festivities.
The only time we get to see Mark Kimura of the House of Photography is during homecoming, and he said this year, he had to come to the Red Raider one, twice, since the assembly was Tuesday and the game was Saturday.
Debbie Lindsey couldn’t make the game, but on Friday said she led the “Awesome” cheer before having to plant the tree celebrating the Rotary Exchange Student program.
Ron Morin, the Rotary Club of Kaua‘i president, took part in that ceremony and had to do the Keiki ID for the Kaua‘i Police Dept. at the Kmart National Safety Day event. Jon Takamura was doing the infant seat inspections and still made it to the football game.
Kudos to Jarret Chytka and his Kmart staff for hosting this event for the third year…too bad it was so busy there was no time for those Marlena Bunao malasadas.
