Mokihana Aquatics coach Orlando “O” Anaya was up early, getting in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s before the Mokihana Aquatics timed swim meet, Saturday.
“It’s mama and her two boys,” Anaya said of the three huskies which accompanied him. “The Department of Education has ACT testing so we can’t start the meet until this afternoon.”
Kudos to Humberto Blanco on a great walk, and mahalo to Sharon Lasker of the Regency at Puakea for getting the final tallies. Sharon was taking care of Charlie “Chip” Rebb, the starter of the regular walk, and Dr. Ray Harvey who led the short course.
Stan and Marie Yado got the message and did their usual great job with the music, and there was still time to make the opening of the Lihu‘e Christian Church Bazaar (kudos to Karen Nakamura on a great sale!).
