HONOLULU — Island Air recently announced the appointment of Les Murashige as president and Lesley Kaneshiro as chief financial officer.
“We are pleased to welcome Les Murashige back to the Island Air family,” Island Air owner Charles Willis said. “Les brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to guide the transition we have been planning and are now implementing.”
Murashige previously served as an executive with Island Air and Aloha Airlines.
“I’m delighted to return to Island Air to execute the new business plan and transition,” Murashige said. “It’s like coming home.”
Kaneshiro said, “The Island Air family welcomes Les Murashige back to our team during this exciting time, as we transition to the ATR fleet.”
As for Lesley Kaneshiro, Willis said he “has been instrumental to the success of Island Air. As chief financial officer, Lesley will focus on the financial management of our new business plan.”
Island Air recently launched a new brand including a new logo mark and refreshed aircraft design. Last week, Island Air received its first ATR 72 JetProp and looks forward to the arrival of several more JetProp aircraft through 2013.
